Summary:

Xiao-Xing’s (Morning Star)parents led the resistance via the Brosin Underground in their home of Bellavia Village when the CSA took over and turned it into a mining area. They sent Xiao-Xing into village further away to be kept safe by Akielah and family. When Xiao-Xing turned 14, all hell broke loose and Akielah escorted her back to her home village. Akielah’s husband stayed behind and was tortured by the CSA and by use of the Force, was persuaded to assume the new identity of Sgt. Cain Wendlam, destined to hunt down Xiao-Xing and bring her in for questioning no matter the cost.

Through her mother, Xiao-Xing has become incorporated into the Brosin Underground and thus, an outlaw. Despite the peace treaty, illegal mining slavery was still happening and their unit was in charge of freeing these places. And by freeing, it usually meant bombing and mass destruction.

Alexia, Xiao-Xing’s oldest friend, pops in and out of her life to help. Her presence is mostly seen in the beginning before Xiao-Xing begins her journey. The two girls travel to Shoengen together where they eventually separate.

Xiao-Xing is a slender girl with darkly tanned skin and deep emerald green eyes. Her long dark brown hair is wavy and frames her heart shaped face. The Emaru genetics allow them to blend easily into the forest. Since she has not turned 15 yet, she has not begun to train in any special field of combat yet. And with her outlaw status, it seems unlikely that she’ll be able to do so in a traditional sense.
